Second Edition of Women in Leadership Conclave is being organized by SHE- “Society for Health and Empowerment of Women” in collaboration with “Lok Kala Parishad” at India International Centre, New Delhi on 29th March, 2020 in continuation of the activities to mark the International Women’s Day this year.
Under the theme ‘Women in Leadership’, it will be our salute to the journey of inspirational women from various walks of life - who by their sheer grit and determination have been instrumental in transforming the lives of women across the country. These inspirational narratives tell the story of successful women who chose their own path to make a difference in the lives of people, despite facing the odds and overcame the challenges.
The idea of Women in Leadership Conclave is in consonance with the theme of International Women’s Day this year – I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Rights, which implies a world of equal opportunities for women so that they think equal, build smart and innovate for change.
The conclave aspires to provide an opportunity to young women to dream and achieve. We work through a community of young women creating awareness amongst women about the need to be self-dependent both economically and in decision-making.
We invite you all to join us as in this endeavour. We value your contribution towards making a change on a fundamental level through your past as well as present active engagement in activities for the betterment of women. We appreciate your in-depth involvement in these important issues and invite you to share your ideas at this "Women in Leadership" Conclave by directly addressing the younger generation.
Another highlight will be felicitating the women from various walks of life who have broken through the glass ceiling, made their mark and left indelible imprints in the minds and hearts of those who dare to dream and fulfill their aspirations in the New India.
Several important steps have been and are being undertaken for the empowerment of women. Government and other agencies have played the role of a catalyst in bringing to the fore issues and concerns of the women and also the appropriate and effective solutions.
Our effort is to build upon the collective strength of women from all over the country and provide a platform to the leading ladies who have been and will be the guiding force for all of us and the participating women to take this mission to greater heights and bring glory to the nation.
